  Day cruise to Doubtful Sound
  This is a very professionally run expedition. It started with a cruise across Lake Manapouri, then we were transferred over the mountain in a bus driven by the very funny and dry John Lockie, before getting on another boat to cruise around Doubtful Sound. We didn't have the best of days as it was quite rainy and overcast (normal for this region), but the scenery was very beautiful and we saw lots of pretty waterfalls. We were just a little disappointed as we hoping to see some animals. We opted to bring our own lunch - but note that there are reasonably priced sandwiches for sale at the Real Journeys Visitor Centre cafe at Manapouri or on board.
